Environment

With the goal of utilizing technology to improve student learning and preparing students for the future, Regis Jesuit has invested more than $1.5 million in technology equipment and infrastructure.

More than 400 computers are on campus with a 20 megabytes of broadband access to the Internet. The Girls Division and the Boys Division are connected by fiber optic and have a total of seven computer labs. Labs are used for scheduled classes and each library has a lab that is available to teachers on a per request basis. Regis Jesuit also currently has 20 interactive Smart Boards and 35 projectors in classrooms campus-wide and every classroom has a computer or tablet laptop for instructional purposes. In each Division, the Science Department has a mobile computer cart. A campus-wide wireless system exists for employee and student access to the school computer network and Internet.

Each student is issued an individual domain account, which allows them access to the Regis Jesuit network. Students are also provided with personal storage space on our file servers, which they have access to during their entire time at Regis Jesuit. Students can use this space to store their assignments, files and other projects. All networked files are backed up on a nightly basis.

Student Laptops

Regis Jesuit allows students to bring their personal laptops to school. However, there are some restrictions on how the student may use the laptop. Additionally, each student is required to register their laptop in the Technology Office. Upon doing so they will be asked to provide the following information:

Full Name
Graduation Year
Laptop or Device

Students must also be aware of the fact that the Technology Office will not perform support or repairs on any personal laptops.

Home and School Collaboration

Regis Jesuit provides the following programs to facilitate communication between the school and RJ families:

RaiderNET - This program allows students and parents to download academic resources, check grades and attendance and communicate directly with teachers via email.

Regis Jesuit High School Website - All employees use the Regis Jesuit website to communicate important information about the school, clubs, athletics and events to RJ families and alumni.

Electronic Newsletters - Parent Pages is our monthly e-newsletter for each family with an email address. This publication is also available on the website. Important upcoming calendar dates are emailed to parents monthly and special bulletins occur as needed.

Helpdesk - The Technology Office is always striving to provide excellent service to each member of the RJHS community. This includes parents, students, faculty and staff.
