FOUR ALUM SERVICE CORPS VOLUNTEERS TO SERVE AT RJ

We are pleased to welcome four members of the Alum Service Corps (ASC) volunteer program as members of our faculty and staff for the 2019-20 school year. ASC is a program administered by the U.S. Central and Southern Province of the Jesuits that pairs recent college graduates who attended a Jesuit school for high school or college with a Jesuit high school in the Province to teach and serve. It is a way for the volunteers to give back in gratitude for the Jesuit education they received.
Our ASC volunteers this year are:
  • Ryan Higgins went to De Smet Jesuit High School and Saint Louis University. He will be teaching world studies and psychology and working in the Pastoral Office in the Girls Division.
  • Isaac Martel is a grad of St. Louis University High School and Webster University. He will be co-teaching concert and beginning band and be supporting all efforts of our Pastoral and Service Offices.
  • Ali Meehan attended Cor Jesu Academy in St. Louis for high school before matriculating to Regis University. She will be teaching freshman English and working in the Pastoral Office in the Boys Division.
  • Joel Wilper went to St. Louis University High School followed by Truman State University and will be co-teaching technical theatre and acting and working in both Service Offices.

This is the 29th cohort of the Alum Service Corps, and Regis Jesuit has been fortunate to have had volunteers for all of these years. Many ASCs go on to lifetime careers in Jesuit education. You can see all of the ASCs who are still working at Regis Jesuit on the Alumni page as well as our alumni currently serving as ASCs.

We are grateful for their sevice to our school and to all the Jesuit apostolates in which they serve.
