Dr. Thomas "ODO" O'Dorisio '61

We are saddened to inform you that Dr. Thomas "ODO" O'Dorisio '61, brother of Rick '70, also deceased, passed away on February 2, 2022.

"Dr. O’Dorisio specialized in providing whole-life care to patients from across the United States who sought his expertise in neuroendocrine tumors. A renowned speaker on the rare tumor, he received the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society lifetime achievement award in 2015. ODO was famous for his “true stories” of life experience and lessons that kept family, friends and colleagues rolling in laughter. Living his life in ecumenical faith, he delivered kindness, dignity and entertainment to every person he met. He married Mary Sue “Sue” Wedemeyer in 1968. Together they raised three children, Joel, Rachelle Gibson (Joe), and Nathan (Liz), who in turn gave them eight grandchildren: Louis, Angelo, Natalia, Chloe, Olive, Gabriel, Giovanna, and Augustus. Their “Popo” delighted them with his “true stories” to encourage schoolwork, share the newest movies, and frolic in the mountains of Colorado." View the full obituary
