PAM POTZER '15 SHARES THE INCREDIBLE BENEFITS OF MUSIC THERAPY
On February 14, Great Raider Pam Potzer '15 visited RJ choir classes to present her perspective on music therapy and its effects on one's psychological, emotional, physical, spiritual, cognitive and social wellbeing. Potzer shared her experiences helping Colorado community members who struggle with depression and anxiety, as well as victims of stroke and cognitive/emotional disabilities, through music therapy. She also outlined the path for earning an official certification for those interested in pursuing this profession. Having been a member of both Concert Band and Pit Band while she was an RJ student, Pam was excited to meet with students with a similar love for music and provide both hope and inspiration to those who are considering studying music and service in college.
