CODING CLUB TAKES SECOND PLACE IN PROGRAMMING COMPETITION

Congratulations to the RJ Coding Club on their second-place finish at the Programming Competition held at the Colorado School of Mines on April 9. The club, moderated by Fine Arts & Media Technology teacher Mark Heidenry, was reinstated in the 2021-22 school year due to a renewed interest by students. In addition to their impressive finish among Colorado teams in their first year as a club, the Advanced Division Team of Alex Casillas '22, Max Ficco '24, Oliver Howe '24 and Dean Miller '24 placed fourth in the nation. Teammates Diego Gutierrez-Raghunath '25, Xander Hung '24, Grant Rechtin '24 and Nicholas Turner '25 took fifth place in the Beginner Division. Outstanding job, Raiders!
