ALUMNI IN THE LAW MINI-MENTORSHIP SERIES

On a Saturday, March 26, Great Raiders Christina Canino Troksa ‘14 and Lauren Troksa Knapp ’12 offered a mini-mentorship series to 20 current students from both divisions. Focused on the law, the series offered sessions on different types of law, the experiences of present law school students, advice and experience sharing by practicing lawyers and the opportunity to practice some real-life cases. Great Raiders Abby Hegarty ’12 and Nick Stofa ’14 participated in the practicing lawyer panel along with Canino Troska and Troska Knapp.

Beyond providing much practical information, students in attendance also came away with a better understanding of the profession and a lot to think about! Attendee Mary Kabadi '25 said, “Attending the mini- mentorship was amazing. I had no experience or tangible idea of what the day-to-day life of a lawyer was like. It really introduced me to the profession and showed me all the possible types of law you can go into as a lawyer. The Q and A with real lawyers and law students was a phenomenal opportunity. I learned a lot and it really inspired me to do some more research into the option of becoming a lawyer in the future. I would recommend it to anyone curious about the law profession and anyone who is even considering a career in law.”
