ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB WORKS ON RIVER CLEANUP FOR EARTH DAY

In support of Earth Day, nearly 30 Raiders, including members of the Environmental and Arrupe Clubs along with a few of their parents, spent several hours of their Sunday, April 24 learning about and then helping to clean up the South Platte River. The monthly event is sponsored by the Patagonia store downtown in cooperation with Denver Parks and Rec and Environment Colorado. Though the weather was chilly and the work wet and dirty, the students were all smiles knowing that they were helping to Care for our Common Home as we are called to do both by Pope Francis in Laudato Si' and through the Jesuits' Universal Apostolic Preferences. Way to show us how to be stewards of these precious resources, Raiders!
