RJ'S SECOND ANNUAL WISH WEEK IS ANOTHER HUGE SUCCESS!

In the final week of April, Regis Jesuit students, faculty and staff participated in the school's second annual Wish Week, helping to bring the wish of Pippa, a four-year-old girl who is fighting cancer, to fruition through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Organized by the Servant Leadership Class, RJ hosted a Walt Disney-themed weeklong celebration including dress-down days, penny wars (won by the freshman class), discounts at local restaurants and a fun auction of prizes offered by faculty and staff. The community came together for a closing ceremony on Friday, April 29 in the Guy Gibbs '47 Gym where Pippa and her brother Conrad were victorious in the Big Wheel Relay! With some Disney Magic and some assistance from her princess squad, Pippa was able to cross the finish line ahead of the RJ student body. Her prize – the opportunity to shave Coach Mattacchione’s head with the help of Lucille Orona ‘22 and Deagan Sarty ‘25.
Congratulations to the entire RJ community for more than doubling our initial goal and generously raising more than $37,000 in support of Pippa's wish to visit Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Meeting Pippa and her family and coming together as a community to fulfill her wish made for such an impactful experience for all involved! Thanks to Sources of Strength and the members of the Servant Leadership Class for their work and words of inspiration. We pray for a full recovery for Pippa and for her family as they continue to support her.  Way to go, Raider community!
