Karen Maroney
We are saddened to inform you that Karen Maroney, mother of Kelli '18, passed away on July 22, 2022.
"Karen Ann Maroney, loved mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend to so many passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022, at home in Castle Rock, Colorado. Karen was born in Saint Louis MO to Donald Albert and Eileen Marie Smith on March 31st, 1963. She attended Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood Village and Colorado State University in Fort Collins Colorado graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She was very active in the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority during school and after graduation. She had an artistic flair which she used to teach knitting and as a seamstress making wedding gowns and vails. She gave up her career to make a wonderful home for her children and husband. She was blessed with a lot of love to share, for her family and her friends. She loved to travel and was never happier than being in some far-off locale like London or Paris." The funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 3 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, with a viewing at 9:50 am, Rosary at 10:15 am, Mass at 11:00 am, and reception to follow immediately after in McCallin Hall. Memorial donations can be made to The ALS Association, Rocky Mtn. Chapter.
We join the prayers of the community of Regis Jesuit with yours for the repose of Karen's soul and the consolation of her family and all those who loved her. May she rest in peace.
