Kathy Jo Toole

Kathy Jo Toole joined the Regis Jesuit Board of Trustees in April 2023. She earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Washington State University and taught for five years in the Seattle area before spending her career as head instructor in cheer and dance with the United Spirit Association. Throughout her career, Kathy Jo served as founder, director and choreographer of the NBA Seattle SuperSonic “Sonic Girls,” owned KJ and Company Dance Studio and worked as the head coach of the Washington State University and University of Idaho Co-Ed Cheer and Pom Squads. While her children—JT ’14, Kellyn ’15, Lauryn ’16, Kevin ’18 and Maurzy ’20—attended Regis Jesuit, she was an active volunteer, working as a team parent for her kids’ teams and serving in leadership roles for both the Moms Club and Raider Parent Association. She was instrumental in the efforts to unify the parent organizations to better serve the school. Kathy Jo’s husband Jim, a contractor and developer, served for many years on the RJ Board’s Capital Projects Committee and has provided regular sweat equity in the care of his neighbors’—the Jesuits—residence. Together, Jim and Kathy Jo were recognized for their dedication to Regis Jesuit as the recipients of the 2019 St. John Francis Regis Outstanding Service Award.
