  • Origins of the Plan and Vision

Inspire & Ignite 2025, our strategic plan, was first conceived of in 2018 as the key priorities of the 2015-20 Strategic Plan were in the final stages of accomplishment. To determine the next set of strategic initiatives for Regis Jesuit High School, school leadership undertook an extensive, collaborative process that included feasibility and market research studies, surveyed alumni on their educational and formational outcomes and validated the vision with faculty and staff, members of the Board of Trustees, its committees and the Council of Regents, the RJ Jesuit community and parents. In all, more than 150 community members provided input and worked to validate the vision that will guide our efforts over the next five years. It was critical to all groups that in fulfilling this vision Regis Jesuit uphold its commitments to sustainability and excellence without excess, both in caring for the resources used and in preserving the longevity of the resulting physical and programmatic structures.

  • Excellence without Excess

Alumnus, Jesuit and president of Regis Jesuit from 2006-15, Fr. Philip Steele, SJ, '66 coined the phrase "excellence without excess" when the performing arts center now named in his honor was being constructed. The idea was that we would provide a building where teachers had the space, supplies and technology needed to help form their students in discovering and developing their many God-given gifts.
That mantra lives on today as we envision adding new and improving existing structures on our campus as well as in the stewardship of our assets beyond our buildings.
  • Sustainability

We will ensure that any new structures added to our campus are built and will operate within our commitment to the Jesuit Universal Apostolic Preference of caring for our common home.
Likewise, we will ensure that any programs developed to meet our strategic priorities are structured to safeguard their long-term viability.
