Christian Initiation of Teenagers

Regis Jesuit provides the Order for Christian Initiation for Teens (OCIT) program for RJ students interested in formally joining the Catholic Church. This includes receiving the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation) or those Sacraments of Initiation they may have not yet completed. For those preparing for Baptism, the journey is a year-long process consisting of monthly formation meetings culminating in a formal welcome into the Catholic Church in the spring at an Easter Vigil at a local parish.
The Office of Mission, Ministry & Diversity and the Jesuit Community oversee the OCIT program at Regis Jesuit in collaboration with the Office of Pastoral Ministries and the Theology Department.
