  • Be the Spark

Regis Jesuit High School relies on annual, tax-deductible donations to enhance the Raider experience for every student. We invite all members of the RJ community—parents, alumni, faculty, staff, parents of alumni, grandparents and friends—to come together with philanthropic support to continue to advance the transformational mission, values and strategic vision of the school.
Gifts to the Inspire & Ignite Fund are used to benefit every student during the current academic year and to help advance the strategic vision of the school—ensuring access and affordability for all qualified students, faculty excellence, essential formative programs and an innovative campus environment.
Gifts made to the Inspire & Ignite Fund may be designated to one of the school's funding priorities, giving you the opportunity to match your philanthropic passion with the school's needs:

  • Where Needed Most

Show your solidarity with the rest of the Regis Jesuit community by allowing the school the flexibility to address the priorities identified by the Inspire & Ignite Fund.
Endowment
One of the ways in which we ensure a vibrant future for Regis Jesuit is through our ongoing commitment to grow our endowment. A strong endowment gives us confidence to plan and make strategic decisions that will secure the long-term accessibility of the school for every student. By making a gift to our endowment, you are helping to ensure we can pursue our mission in perpetuity by investing in our most valuable resources—our students, faculty and campus.

Advancement FAQs

List of 4 items.

  • What is Advancement?

Regis Jesuit’s Advancement team partners closely with parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, alumni, students, faculty and staff to build community, foster meaningful engagement and promote a culture of philanthropy. The relationships we nurture directly benefit our students and advance the mission of the school.
  • Why does Regis Jesuit need to fundraise?

Regis Jesuit relies on annual, tax-deductible donations to impact the Raider experience for every student. Because tuition does not fully cover the cost to educate a student, we rely on the generosity of our community not only to help us meet the current needs of the academic year, but also provide priority enhancements to the RJ experience
  • What is the Inspire & Ignite Fund?

The Inspire & Ignite Fund is the primary fundraising initiative for Regis Jesuit High School. Gifts to this fund are used to benefit every student during the current academic year as well as to help advance the strategic vision of the school—ensuring access and affordability for all qualified students, faculty excellence, essential formative programs and an innovative campus environment.
  • When will you be invited to participate?

    • October: You will receive an invitation by mail and email to make a donation to the Inspire & Ignite Fund. Please consider a gift that’s within your family's ability and comfort level.
    • December: If you have not yet made your gift to the Inspire & Ignite Fund, you will receive a second invitation to make a tax-deductible donation for the 2021 tax year. A great time to make your yearend gift is on Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
    • January-March: LARK Dinner-Auction preparations start gearing up! Families will receive an invitation to attend the event, as well as many opportunities to participate in the success of LARK including sponsorship, underwriting, Gift Gatherings, donating auction items and volunteering on the committee to help plan the event.
    • April: The 49th annual LARK-Dinner Auction, the school's largest community event fundraiser, takes place! Save the date for Saturday, April 23, 2022. The evening revolves around a creative theme, including Mass, student speakers and auctions. We look forward to being back in person this year!
    • May-June: Families who have not yet made a gift to the Inspire & Ignite Fund will receive a final invitation to participate before the end of the school’s fiscal year.

Ways to Give

  • Gifts of Cash/Check/Online Donations

Please consider making your gift using your credit card or direct debit through our secure website, via stock or wire transfer or a donor-advised fund.

Checks can be made out to “Regis Jesuit High School” and mailed to:
    Regis Jesuit High School
    Attn: Advancement Office
    6300 South Lewiston Way
    Aurora, CO 80016

  • Gifts of In-Kind Donations

Gifts in-kind are generally defined as non-cash donations of equipment or supplies that have been purchased by the donor and given to the school to meet a specific purpose or need such as gift cards, books, equipment, software, licenses, food, supplies and furnishings.
  • Gifts of Stocks/Securities

Using publicly-traded stock to make a gift to Regis Jesuit can be a tax-wise method of giving, especially if the stock has appreciated in value since you acquired it. Giving appreciated stock saves you tax dollars in two ways:
    • First, you will receive an income-tax deduction for the current value of the stock. This value is the average of the high and low trading price on the transfer date.
    • Second, you avoid paying the tax on the capital gain of the stock. So that we can be sure to accurately match the donation to you, please alert an Advancement team member that you have made a gift of stock.

  • Gifts from an IRA Distribution

Donors who are at least 70½ years of age or older may transfer up to $100,000 from an IRA directly to a qualifying charity such as Regis Jesuit High School. These otherwise taxable distributions can satisfy your annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and exclude these funds from your taxable income.
  • Gifts from a Donor-Advised Fund

A donor-advised fund, which is like a charitable savings account, gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to Regis Jesuit High School and other charities. You transfer cash or other assets to a tax-exempt sponsoring organization such as a public foundation. You can then recommend-but not direct-how much and how often money is granted. In return, you qualify for a federal income tax charitable deduction at the time you contribute to the account.
  • Gifts from an Employer Match

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest! The impact of your gift may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
  • Gifts from Legacy Planning

When you include Regis Jesuit in your will or estate plan, you become a member of the St. John Francis Regis Legacy Society, which recognizes your important contribution and demonstrates your commitment to the mission of Regis Jesuit.
