  • We Use an Innovative School Model

Offering single-gender classroom instruction with opportunities for students to collaborate, pray, serve and socialize together on a shared campus, Regis Jesuit High School provides a college-prep curriculum with a unique approach to learning that develops the entire person, preparing them to encounter life's personal, social and spiritual challenges and to make a difference in our world.
This educational approach along with all of the benefits of a single-gender instructional environment prepares students to respond to the challenges facing the world with new and creative solutions.

Experience Our Campus

Our 85-acre campus houses a Boys Division building and a Girls Division building, each with a full-size gym, multi-media library and chapel. In addition to these buildings, our campus offers the following shared facilities: nine athletic fields, six tennis courts, a field house and pool, a college counseling center, a performing arts and student commons building—the Steele Center—with a theatre, music classrooms, communications center with broadcast studio, snack bar café and commons spaces for community gatherings. With our facilities and spacious grounds, many people think our campus has the feel of a small college.

  • Our Unique Model

Regis Jesuit High School provides a single-gender educational experience by operating as two entities—the Boys Division and the Girls Division. Each has its own division head who reports to one principal responsible for overseeing programming for the entire school. The school's administrative team—the Educational Leadership Council or ELC—is comprised of the division heads and several assistant principals who work collectively and collaboratively with the principal to ensure that both academic and affective programming is delivered campus-wide with equity and efficacy for all students. As such Regis Jesuit is able to provide its students with the best of both worlds—a primarily single-gender academic environment inside the classroom with numerous opportunities for students to collaborate, serve, pray, study and socialize together on a shared campus.

Regis Jesuit prepares its students to excel in college and beyond by developing their abilities to think critically and succeed on their own. In addition, students have all of the advantages of co-educational interaction without the social pressures in the classroom. With the boys and girls in separate classrooms for the majority of their instruction, students have a choice of when and how they socialize during break times, at lunch and before and after the school day ends.
  • Our History

Regis Jesuit High School traces its origins to Las Vegas College and was founded in 1877 in Las Vegas, New Mexico by Jesuits from Naples, Italy. In 1884, the Jesuits opened a second school in Morrison, Colorado. At the invitation of J.P. Machebeuf, then bishop of Denver, four years later, the Las Vegas and Morrison schools were merged into the College of the Sacred Heart—which later became Regis College and then Regis University—and moved to West 52nd Avenue and Lowell Boulevard in northwest Denver.
