Mass at Regis Jesuit

As a Catholic school, the celebration of our core Sacrament—the Eucharist—is a critical component in the faith formation of all members of our school community. Therefore, we offer Masses regularly at the school throughout the school year.

Note that due to health and safety guidelines around COVID-19, we may have to conduct Masses in smaller groups or virtually during the 2020-21 school year. We remain steadfast in our commitment to offer this pinnacle of our faith as frequently as we can. What is outlined below is our approach when we are operating in our more conventional mode.

All-School Masses
The entire school community comes together four times a year for all-school liturgies.

Class Masses
Students also attend divisional and class Masses several times each semester.

Mass on Retreat
The Eucharist is also celebrated in the context of each of the class-level retreats.

Daily Mass
All members of the community are welcome to attend a lunchtime Mass offered on Mondays and Wednesdays in the St. John Francis Regis Chapel in the boys building and on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Blessed Rupert Mayer Chapel in the girls building. Most Fridays, Mass is celebrated at 7:15 am the Blessed Rupert Mayer Chapel.

First Friday Mass
A dedication to the Sacred Heart, students, parents, employees, alumni and friends of Regis Jesuit are strongly encouraged to join us for a monthly Mass at 7:00 am on the first Friday of the month during the school year in the Blessed Rupert Mayer Chapel. First Friday in November is offered as a special Remembrance Mass for those who have gone before us in faith. See below for more information on the First Friday liturgies and Remembrance Mass.
The tradition of First Friday Mass as a dedication to the Sacred Heart of Jesus continues at Regis Jesuit.

First Friday Mass

All parents, students, alums, faculty, staff and friends of Regis Jesuit are invited to join us at 7:00 am in the Blessed Rupert Mayer Chapel in the Girls Division on the first Friday of most months during the school year. We can offer you a joyous celebration of the Eucharist, with wonderful music provided by members of the renowned First Friday Choir.

Contingencies Due to COVID-19
Due to guidelines required in response to the COVID pandemic, we must limit attendance at this Mass to 50 people. A sign up will be available each month on this page and sent via the Red & White weekly newsletter. In addition to signing up, each attendee also needs to complete and bring a completed health screening form, will be subject to a temperature check upon arrival and must wear a mask at all times while on campus in order to attend. We appreciate your willingness to abide by these health and safety precautions to help ensure the greater good.
