We are a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory high school serving nearly 1700 young men and women in grades 9-12 in becoming Men and Women with and for Others.
With nearly 150 years of history behind us, we are a Roman Catholic educational community rooted firmly in the nearly 500-year-old model of Jesuit education, leading the way in preparing students for the 21st century.
Our unique educational model combines the advantages of single-sex instruction with opportunities for young men and women to collaborate, serve, pray and socialize together to form the whole person—mind, body and spirit.
The strength of Regis Jesuit is found in the depth and diversity of its broad community of students, parents and alumni who strengthen and share their gifts through a lifelong Raider experience.
The transformational student experience has been developed thanks to a long tradition of generous philanthropic support of our enduring educational mission.
REGIS JESUIT LAUNCHES ADDITIONAL MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT PARTNERSHIP
On World Mental Health Day, October 10, Regis Jesuit formally announced its partnership with Care Solace, a mental health care coordination service that serves to match those seeking care with providers more effectively and efficiently. The new partnership is another part of our ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of students, staff and their families.
Supported by Regis Jesuit's administration and the School Counseling Office, led by Assistant Principal for Student Support Dana Bauer, the launch coincides with October’s National Substance Abuse Prevention Month, allowing the school to continue raising awareness of mental health and substance abuse issues and provide and advocate for the support that our students, employees and families need. Nearly one in five children in the United States will experience mental illness in their lifetime and barriers to mental health services remain a significant hurdle to getting support in the United States. In addition, more than 20 million Americans struggle with substance abuse and addiction. The key to substance use prevention is talking openly with our students and helping them understand the impact of substance abuse on their health.
Care Solace's complimentary and confidential service provides assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year to RJ students, faculty and families seeking mental health or substance abuse care. With more than 200 languages available, their multilingual Care Companions are available to help explain care options, call providers on an individual's behalf and/or schedule appointments. Those who prefer to find resources and information on their own can seek care options and/or book appointments anonymously with the confidence that information remains confidential and securely stored.
Supplementing the outstanding care from Regis Jesuit school counselors and mental health professionals, Care Solace further supports our efforts to make mental health care a priority by raising awareness and mobilizing support, providing equitable access to quality mental health services for our entire community.
For questions or to learn more about this new partnership and our ongoing commitment to supporting mental health care, please contact Dana Bauer, Assistant Principal for Student Support.
