Thomas Newman, MD '54
Thomas Newman, MD '54, father to Michael '84, passed away on October 11, 2023.
"Born August 26, 1936 to Sam and Mary Newman in Denver, CO. Tom graduated from Regis High School, attended Regis College and obtained his medical degree from the University of Colorado. Tom practiced medicine for nearly 30 years at Kaiser Permanente in Denver, Colorado. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was a devout Catholic and his faith was evident throughout his life. Tom found a strong calling to be a doctor and he shared his faith through the practice of medicine. He was passionately involved in ministries focused on healing both the body and the spirit and shared his gifts through several Catholic healing ministries, the Association of Christian Therapists and True Life in God. Tom was also a talented award-winning photographer. He will be missed by the many friends he loved." Click here to view the full obituary.

A viewing will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, October 19 at Horan & McConaty in Aurora, followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 10:30 am at Risen Christ Catholic Church in Denver. A burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tom’s name to the Bus Stop Ministry (for the homeless), 3000 S Clarkson St., Englewood, CO 80113.
