We are a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory high school serving nearly 1700 young men and women in grades 9-12 in becoming Men and Women with and for Others.
With nearly 150 years of history behind us, we are a Roman Catholic educational community rooted firmly in the nearly 500-year-old model of Jesuit education, leading the way in preparing students for the 21st century.
Our unique educational model combines the advantages of single-sex instruction with opportunities for young men and women to collaborate, serve, pray and socialize together to form the whole person—mind, body and spirit.
The strength of Regis Jesuit is found in the depth and diversity of its broad community of students, parents and alumni who strengthen and share their gifts through a lifelong Raider experience.
The transformational student experience has been developed thanks to a long tradition of generous philanthropic support of our enduring educational mission.
WE HAVE ARRIVED!! TOUCHDOWN ECUADOR!!! After 18 hours we finally made it to The Center for Working Families.
After saying goodbye to our families this morning, we quickly started bonding by playing lots of card games and using Mr. Beyer's ice-breaker questions he gave to us to help get to know each other. When we landed in Miami we were greeted with hot, humid air. After a short layover we boarded the flight to Quito, eager for what was to come. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the kind Customs Agents and airport employees. While waiting for the bus to arrive, we enjoyed some KFC, sandwiches, and amazing coffee! We took the bus 40 minutes north to The Center. On this bus ride we were able to see the transition from the touristy areas to the community. We are all exhausted, but super excited for tomorrow! Specifically, Sydney and I are looking forward to seeing the churches and more of how the culture embraces Catholicism. Both of us started the travel day with lots of nerves, but throughout the day we were able to feel peace in knowing that we are exactly where we are supposed to be. I do think we would be lying if we said we not nervous for what is to come and the encounters that we will have throughout the week. With those nerves comes a lot of excitement and curiosity trusting that we will meet God in these strangers. We miss you all! Tomorrow's going to be a great day:)
