CERRO PUNTA – WE HAVE ARRIVED WITH OUR HOST FAMILIES!

Ms. Lori Muniz
Today we started out very early and said goodbye to Panama City and hello to our host families. We landed in David this morning and had a beautiful drive to the mountains.
Today we started out very early and said goodbye to Panama City and hello to our host families. We landed in David this morning and had a beautiful drive to the mountains. The bus ride was beautiful as we passed through some incredible scenery, farms, dairies and forests. We felt a marked difference as we climbed in weather from hot and humid Panama City to cool and crisp Cerro Punta and Guadalupe. Upon arrival we had a warm welcome and a delicious lunch. We are in mountain town full of fields of potatoes, celery, lettuce, cabbage, onions and just about every fresh vegetable you can imagine along with beautiful cloud-covered mountain peaks and flowers everywhere. After lunch, families started to arrive to welcome students to be part of their family. It was incredible to see the excitement from both students and families with hugs all around. We were able to spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing, getting to know families, and taking in the breath-taking scenery. Students will resume blogging tomorrow!
