George Frederick Biller '66, brother of Ed '69, passed away on February 2, 2026.

"George was born on September 9, 1947, to George and Mary Biller in Chicago, IL. He passed away unexpectedly in Lake Havasu City, AZ, at the age of 78. George attended Lawrence Grade School in Arvada, CO and Arvada Jr. High. He graduated from Regis Jesuit High School in Denver in 1966. George was a sports letter recipient in cross-country and wrestling. He was the CO State Parochial Wrestling League Champion in his senior year at 180 pounds. After graduating from high school, George attended college at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. He graduated in 1972 with a degree in Education. George began his career in education, teaching Jr. High Physical and Earth Science at John Evans Jr. High School in Greeley. He taught there for 24 years from the SAME classroom throughout! George also coached boys varsity basketball. In the early 1980’s, George earned a master’s degree in education administration at the University of Northern Colorado. He was hired as the principal of Buena Vista High School in 1998. In 2001, George was named the National Principal of the Year and received his award in Washington, D.C. George then served on the National Association of Secondary School Principals for six years. George retired from Buena Vista High School in 2007. He then worked for six years for the CO Association of Secondary Educators as an education consultant. He traveled to remote mountain towns to observe, mentor and provide on-site training to teachers to earn their certifications due to there not being colleges nearby for them to attend. George worked for 44 years in the education field. George was very musical, as was his father, brothers and uncle. George started out playing the piano and progressed to the bass and guitar. He had a band in high school known as "The Rotations". George sang and played guitar and was known as "Big Red Biller." George and his wife, Mary, started RVing in the mid-1990s. They spent their summers camping and exploring, many times with their granddaughters, Lexi, Madi and Nicollete. After George stopped working for CASE in 2013, he and Mary began RVing full-time. Between RVing and cruising, they have visited many U.S. states and many of the world’s continents. George is survived by his wife Mary, his children Steve and Stacy, stepsons Dave and Eric, brothers Jim, Ed and Bill, seven grandchildren: Nicollete, Lexi, Madi, Zach, Sierra, Joey and Cory, six great-grandchildren and many cousins around the country."

We join the prayers of the community of Regis Jesuit with yours for the repose of George's soul and the consolation of his family and all those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
