We are a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory high school serving nearly 1700 young men and women in grades 9-12 in becoming Men and Women with and for Others.
With nearly 150 years of history behind us, we are a Roman Catholic educational community rooted firmly in the nearly 500-year-old model of Jesuit education, leading the way in preparing students for the 21st century.
Our unique educational model combines the advantages of single-sex instruction with opportunities for young men and women to collaborate, serve, pray and socialize together to form the whole person—mind, body and spirit.
The strength of Regis Jesuit is found in the depth and diversity of its broad community of students, parents and alumni who strengthen and share their gifts through a lifelong Raider experience.
The transformational student experience has been developed thanks to a long tradition of generous philanthropic support of our enduring educational mission.
Regis Jesuit announces Edgar Epie as the new head coach of the Boys Volleyball program. Coach Epie brings more than a decade of coaching experience across the youth, high school, club and collegiate levels. He is also a familiar presence within the Regis Jesuit community, having served as head coach of the Raiders’ JV boys team during the 2026 season and as an assistant varsity coach with the school’s Girls Volleyball program.
“We are thrilled to welcome Edgar into this leadership role,” said Ryan West, Regis Jesuit Director of Athletics. “He is already familiar with our community, has established strong relationships with many of our student-athletes and shares our commitment to developing the whole person. His volleyball knowledge and playing experience are impressive, but what stood out most was his desire to use coaching as a means of forming young men of character, faith and integrity.”
In addition to his work at Regis Jesuit, Epie has coached at the University of Denver, the University of Colorado Denver, Cherokee Trail High School and Elevation and Momentum Volleyball Clubs. His coaching experience includes program leadership, player development, strength and conditioning, film analysis, team building and collegiate recruiting.
Epie also brings nearly two decades of competitive playing experience. A former Division I and semi-professional player, he competed as a setter and participated in the Cameroon Men’s National Team pre-selection process ahead of the 2017 African Cup of Nations.
“My coaching philosophy is rooted in whole-athlete development,” Epie said. “Athletic excellence and personal formation are not competing priorities; they are deeply connected. A volleyball court can be one of the most powerful classrooms available to a young man, providing lessons in perseverance, humility, accountability and the courage to continue striving.”
Epie’s approach aligns closely with the Catholic, Jesuit mission of Regis Jesuit. He identifies cura personalis—care for the whole person—as the foundation of his coaching and embraces magis as a call for coaches and student-athletes to give more and become more in service to others.
As head coach, he plans to build on the program’s existing foundation while strengthening trust, accountability and enthusiasm throughout all levels of the Boys Volleyball program. His familiarity with the student-athletes, knowledge of the Colorado boys volleyball landscape and commitment to expanding participation will provide valuable continuity for the growing program.
Epie earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Master of Science in Information Technology and Cybersecurity from Purdue University.
Please join us in welcoming Edgar to this new leadership position in the RJ community. Go, Raiders!
