Phillip Longo '86

Phillip Longo '86 passed away on September 7, 2026.

"The world is much less bright and cheerful with the unexpected passing of Phillip Thomas Longo, who passed away at home in Littleton after a brief cancer journey. Phillip was born in Denver and raised in Wheat Ridge, attending Wilmore-Davis Elementary School, Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School and Regis Jesuit High School, where he was a standout three-way athlete in football, basketball and baseball, earning All-State and All-Star honors. He went on to play football at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, CA, then baseball at Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, IA where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. After college, he was a counselor at the Savio House in Denver and spent most of his career as a multi-skilled independent construction contractor. Phillip was a proud Italian American Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets fan; loved spending time at the family cabin in Bailey; enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting and cooking; and helping others. His keen mind, good heart, and quick wit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him." Click here to view the obituary.

A rosary service will be held Monday, September 28 at 5:00 pm at Mount Olivet Funeral Home (12801 W. 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge). A funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, September 29 at 10:00 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church (3900 Pierce St., Wheat Ridge).

We join the prayers of the community of Regis Jesuit with yours for the repose of Phillip's soul and the consolation of his family and all those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
