We are a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory high school serving nearly 1700 young men and women in grades 9-12 in becoming Men and Women with and for Others.
With nearly 150 years of history behind us, we are a Roman Catholic educational community rooted firmly in the nearly 500-year-old model of Jesuit education, leading the way in preparing students for the 21st century.
Our unique educational model combines the advantages of single-sex instruction with opportunities for young men and women to collaborate, serve, pray and socialize together to form the whole person—mind, body and spirit.
The strength of Regis Jesuit is found in the depth and diversity of its broad community of students, parents and alumni who strengthen and share their gifts through a lifelong Raider experience.
The transformational student experience has been developed thanks to a long tradition of generous philanthropic support of our enduring educational mission.
Today our group was welcomed into Casa Karibu and began the process of settling in.
We started off our journey with a few rounds of cards, playing blackjack and spoons as one big group. Then, Mairen, Ellie, and Natalie made us a bunch of yummy sides to go with the delicious dinner provided to us by our hosts. We all sat around the table and got to know one another and our hosts a bit better.
We learned about how this house likes to operate and were introduced to the five amazing kids who live here. After dinner, we had some downtime and shared lots of laughs with one another. Finally, we had our very first reflection and spent a couple minutes with God. We shared our fears and excitements for the week to come and did our final mental preparations.
To wrap the night up, we sat around the table, talking, laughing, sipping tea, and eating cookies. We are all very eager to immerse ourselves into the Tennyson Center tomorrow and can’t wait to see what is waiting for us on the other side of this adventure!
