EPISODE 3 - LONG LIVE THE POOP VAN

Jillian Samaras, Cami Grey, Ryan Olsen, Joseph Kraus
The dogs were nature’s alarm at 6:45 am.
The grills were fired up, our runny oatmeal and sausage breakfast was smelling nice and smoky. Not long after the gooey oatmeal, the poop van departed from camp. Because the poop van took longer than expected, we came in hot to our presentation with Sean, our Zuni expert.

Sean told us about the creation of Zuni. We then set sail to the ancestral land of the Zunis. There were a few bumps in the road, which we had to fill. Sean kindly asked us to fill the holes with dirt using our shovels and rakes. After the maintenance, we took a walk around the ancestral site where we saw remnants of battles, churches, as well as a bunch of pottery. But watch your toes, the rattlesnakes were lurking...along with a scorpion and a tarantula.

On the way back, the poop van had another small issue; it got stuck in a crack. After our hard work, we found our way to some sandwiches. We then made our way to the museum where we wandered around for quite some time. Once we got back to camp, we snacked, finally got our porta potties, and retired the poop van (RIP). After some much needed sack time, we made our way to Shannon’s grandparents’ house, where we took a mile long hike. We thought we were alone, but some turkeys decided to join. After some slips and spikes, we got ready for our coconut curry dinner.

Not soon after the frisbee was in action, and nobody in Zuni was safe from our throws. We then had some much-needed circle time where we made a fire and ate candy. It’s getting smoky over here, so we will catch you tomorrow with our adventures with the tribal council and governor of Zuni. Catch you later, doodie calls!!!
