We are a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory high school serving nearly 1700 young men and women in grades 9-12 in becoming Men and Women with and for Others.
With nearly 150 years of history behind us, we are a Roman Catholic educational community rooted firmly in the nearly 500-year-old model of Jesuit education, leading the way in preparing students for the 21st century.
Our unique educational model combines the advantages of single-sex instruction with opportunities for young men and women to collaborate, serve, pray and socialize together to form the whole person—mind, body and spirit.
The strength of Regis Jesuit is found in the depth and diversity of its broad community of students, parents and alumni who strengthen and share their gifts through a lifelong Raider experience.
The transformational student experience has been developed thanks to a long tradition of generous philanthropic support of our enduring educational mission.
Today we began to discover our vocations as we recapped our stories from encounters in Peru. As we travel back, we are connecting on a deeper level based on the trust and joy we built together.
Today started slowly with our last reflection, recapping our experiences and discerning our vocations. We started out in small groups sharing our “challenge” for the day: what is our story from the week? As we discussed our individual themes: patience, kindness, challenging injustice, etc., we began to discern our callings. The last thing Michael told us is that “We are amazing people, and so we are going to do great things. There is a reason God made us the way he did; God made only one of us, so we must be ourselves”. Michael also brought up the fact that we received more than we gave. We received so many people’s gifts throughout the trip – such as kindness, patience, and incredible cooking – and there was not much we could give in return to make it equal. It has been uncomfortable to be unable to give as much as we have received. But Michael then said, “the best way to give is to share our gifts with those who need it” and that is something that really stuck with us. We are able to benefit others with the talents God has given us, and we must do so in order to complete each other. As we travel back, we become restless. We are excited to begin our vocations and to spread kindness in the world. But for now, as we travel back home, we are making jokes and laughing together, connecting on an ever deeper level than before.
