REGIS JESUIT NAMES KEVIN SNYDER AS NEW BOYS BASKETBALL HEAD COACH

We are pleased to announce the hiring of Kevin Snyder as the next head coach of the Boys Basketball program. Snyder brings a unique combination of collegiate coaching experience, player development expertise and a deep passion for mentoring student-athletes. A graduate of Heritage High School in Littleton, Snyder went on to play collegiately at Williams College (Mass.), where he was a First Team All-Conference selection in 2009 and team captain.
Following his playing career, Snyder coached at several Division I institutions, including Brown University, Bucknell University and the College of William & Mary, where he contributed in areas such as player development, scouting and offensive systems implementation. His exposure to high-level basketball and innovative offensive systems will bring a fresh and dynamic approach to the Regis Jesuit program.

Snyder most recently served in high school coaching roles, including at Bentonville West High School (Ark.) and Cherry Creek High School, where he focused on player development, program culture and competitive success.

Snyder was selected following a national search that attracted a strong and diverse pool of candidates and was guided by a committee representing administration, athletics and the school community.

“We are very excited about the energy and outstanding offensive skill set that Kevin is bringing to our program,” said Ryan West, Athletic Director at Regis Jesuit. “Throughout the interview process, it became clear that he is committed to developing young men of character and competence both on and off the court. He has also made it very clear that he wants to call Regis Jesuit home for a long time to come.”

Snyder comes from a strong basketball family. His father, Dan Snyder, is the winningest coach in the history of Arapahoe High School, recording 165 wins in eight seasons before continuing his coaching career at Regis University.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Snyder will join the Regis Jesuit faculty as a social studies teacher, further strengthening his connection to the school’s mission and reinforcing the school’s commitment to mission-driven educators who mentor students in and beyond the classroom.

“We are excited to welcome Kevin to the Regis Jesuit community,” West added. “We believe he is the right leader to build on the proud tradition of our program, established by hall of fame coaches like Ken Shaw and Guy Gibbs, while guiding it into its next chapter.”
