RAIDERS RISE TO GLORY WITH THRILLING 5A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP VICTORY
Congratulations to Head Coach Matt Darr and the No. 3 Varsity Baseball Team on capturing the 5A State Championship with a hard-fought 5-3 victory over top-seeded Arvada West on May 30. After dropping a narrow 3-2 decision in game one of the championship series, the Raiders responded with resilience and determination to seize control in the winner-take-all finale. With an early surge in game two, the Raiders kept the momentum needed—despite an hour-long lightning delay—to down the Wildcats and secure the victory. This championship marks the program’s first state title since 2019 and the fourth in school history—a triumphant return to the top following back-to-back runner-up finishes in 2024 and 2025.

The team proudly represented Raider Nation with a strong showing that combined dominant pitching, disciplined defense and an energized offense that came through at the plate. More than the results, they truly exemplified Raider baseball—demonstrating hard work, resilience and a deep sense of brotherhood throughout the championship series and the entire season.
