Craig Hibbison ‘57

Craig Hibbison ‘57, brother of Eric Hibbison ‘66, passed away on May 13, 2026.

"Craig was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on July 25, 1939, to George and Mary Hibbison, the third of four children. The family later lived in Topeka, Kansas, and Omaha, Nebraska, before moving to Denver, Colorado in 1954. Craig attended Catholic schools through college, graduating from Regis Jesuit High School in 1957 and from Regis College in 1961—both in Denver. During his college years, Craig met Jeannie Thompson while attending Loretta Heights College. They shared a brief and joyful courtship and were married in August 1961. Their marriage was blessed with six children—four daughters and two sons. Craig and Jeannie celebrated 48 wonderful years together before Jeannie passed away in 2009. After graduating, Craig began his career with Sears, Roebuck & Company in Denver. After relocations to Dallas and Chicago, and then back to Dallas, he served as Regional Human Resources Manager for the Dallas area until his retirement in the early 90s. His career was both rewarding and meaningful to him. Craig had a lifelong love of sports, including baseball, golf, tennis, and basketball. He continued enjoying golf well into his 80s and often watched sporting events on television. Deeply devoted to the Catholic faith, Craig served as a Eucharistic Minister and as a member of the Parish Council, and he attended Daily Mass. He was instrumental in bringing the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Conferences to Saint Mary Catholic Church and Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. At the time of his passing, Craig was an active member of St.Thomas Catholic Church in Huntsville, Texas." Click here to view the full obituary.

We join the prayers of the community of Regis Jesuit with yours for the repose of Craig's soul and the consolation of his family and all those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
