CAFECITO

Andrew & Flynn
Digging. Eating. Praying. Raining. Dancing.
Today is 10/8/2025

Today, we woke up at 7 and had some cafe. We had hard-boiled eggs for breakfast, and then headed into town to give 8 houses a new water source that had difficulties with running water. We dug a 100-yard trench from the main water source, branching into different houses. Halfway through, we got watermelon coconut oatmeal juice as a refreshment from a member of the community. After we worked for two more hours, we had blisters and full hearts before starting to head back up for lunch. After lunch we played volleyball with the community kids and went to a small church where it fits max 40 people. They sung in Spanish, and during Mass it was pounding rain. It has been raining a lot this evening and feels refreshing. Tomorrow, we plan to work for the first half of the day and then go visit the school.

By the way, all the boys are getting buzz cuts.
