We are a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory high school serving nearly 1700 young men and women in grades 9-12 in becoming Men and Women with and for Others.
With nearly 150 years of history behind us, we are a Roman Catholic educational community rooted firmly in the nearly 500-year-old model of Jesuit education, leading the way in preparing students for the 21st century.
Our unique educational model combines the advantages of single-sex instruction with opportunities for young men and women to collaborate, serve, pray and socialize together to form the whole person—mind, body and spirit.
The strength of Regis Jesuit is found in the depth and diversity of its broad community of students, parents and alumni who strengthen and share their gifts through a lifelong Raider experience.
The transformational student experience has been developed thanks to a long tradition of generous philanthropic support of our enduring educational mission.
Today we began with breakfast at the campo of eggs, fruit, fried salami, and hot chocolate. Then we split into three separate groups to paint houses for people in the community. My group began by painting the house of my host, Senalis. He was very grateful for our help. The entire time, he offered us the only snacks and drinks that he had. We then painted another house, and the other two groups did as well.
We all met back up at the big house at around one for lunch: pasta salad, rice, fruit, salad, avocado, and juice made from the berries we picked yesterday. After lunch, we changed and went to the beach. The water was very warm and the views were impeccable. We hung out with the locals at the beach, and a young boy was burying Graham and me in the sand and put a crab on our feet. Before leaving the beach, we played a capture-the-flag game. We are now back at the big house preparing for dinner and the fiesta tonight.
