Immersion Experience: Kansas City

FIRST FULL DAY WITH JFARM!

Javin B. and Michael L.
Today was our first full day at J Farm!
We started the morning with prayer through body movement then we had a wonderful breakfast of oatmeal, apples, brown sugar, and raisins. Then we split up into three chore groups; cooking lunch, cleaning the chapel, and transporting firewood. Our group was able to transport two full truckloads of wood to the other JFarm house using a productive assembly line. Then we had tomato soup and grilled cheese for lunch which was fantastic. After this we went on a two hour walk learning about Catholic Social Teaching and Jerusalem Farm’s work in the community. We ended our day with a Eurcharistic prayer service to kick off our week and to prepare us for our first day on worksites!
