A long day of travel and exploring beautiful Cusco!
We started at the airport at 10:30 a.m. and we left around 1. When we arrived in Miami, we all got food during a 5-hour layover. We played Uno and lots of hacky sack. We took a 5-hour red eye to Lima, Peru where we all enjoyed a group nap on the floor after successfully making it through customs. We met up with Michael, who is the Quispicanchi Project director. We then boarded our third and final flight to Cusco!

When we arrived to Cusco, after a rough landing, we grabbed our bags and got in the vans. We first went to Plaza de Armas where we exchanged money and got to see a Jesuit Temple. We did a long walk to lunch where we enjoyed a big group meal. After that, we went to the Market where we were able to find souvenirs and see what a market in Peru is like. Then we finally headed to the retreat center in the beautiful mountains where we are staying. We got a great tour of the beautiful retreat center, and then we headed to mass. Then we went to a group dinner to end the night! We are so tired after so much travel but so excited for tomorrow!
