DAY 1: SAN DIEGO/CHICANO PARK

Olivia Filippini ‘26, Barrett Hatcher ‘26, Vivi Osborne ‘26
Hi everyone it’s Vivi, Oee, and Barrett. We made it to San Diego after an easy flight this morning.
We went straight to Chicano Park, which is a park that honors the vibrant history and resiliences of the Mexican American communities and symbolizes a sense of hope, faith, and community. We had make-your- own Tacos for lunch and started filming for our Documentaries. We interviewed a volunteer from the park who gave us an insightful perspective on what the park means to his community. Then we ended the day walking through Old Town San Diego and pizza for dinner. We are looking forward to crossing over to Tijuana tomorrow so stay tuned for more. Bye miss you all!
