We are a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory high school serving nearly 1700 young men and women in grades 9-12 in becoming Men and Women with and for Others.
With nearly 150 years of history behind us, we are a Roman Catholic educational community rooted firmly in the nearly 500-year-old model of Jesuit education, leading the way in preparing students for the 21st century.
Our unique educational model combines the advantages of single-sex instruction with opportunities for young men and women to collaborate, serve, pray and socialize together to form the whole person—mind, body and spirit.
The strength of Regis Jesuit is found in the depth and diversity of its broad community of students, parents and alumni who strengthen and share their gifts through a lifelong Raider experience.
The transformational student experience has been developed thanks to a long tradition of generous philanthropic support of our enduring educational mission.
I’m Charlie and I’m a fish and I’m Mikey and I’m a river. Today we worked in the garden at the shelter where we are staying.
Thomas, Mikey and I started off the day watching the sunrise before showering in the FREEZING cold showers!
We ate eggs and prickly pear cactus for breakfast as a group (cooked by our amazing cociñeras). After breakfast we learned about Tijuana and the Migrant shelter that is connected to the orphanage where we are staying.
Next we centered ourselves in the garden at the orphanage. Ricarbol had us walk around introducing ourselves to trees before we started gardening. We worked in three groups while gardening: making new compost, digging tree basins, and trimming lavender bushes.
We worked up our appetites and went in for lunch. After lunch we walked around the neighborhood we are staying in and returned to finish with the lavender. When we had finished gardening we had the chance to play with the kids who live in the orphanage and get interviews for our documentaries!
We wrapped up the day hanging out and going through footage before eating pozole for dinner and settling in for our reflections. We are super thankful for everyone here, especially Aida, Ricarbol, and Kiqué for everything they are doing with us here in Tijuana!
