Wednesday and Thursday were busy!

Today was our second day at the Tennyson Center and we are beginning to fall into a routine with our classes.

Today was our first day working with the students at the Tennyson Center

We briefly turn from our immersion at the Tennyson Center to Annunciation Catholic School where we encountered a different set of children who are equally deserving of love. A truly joyful experience to spend time back in elementary school.

Fearful trepidation has blossomed into joy and comfort as the boys now eagerly engage with the students and staff. We finished the day painting their faded Tiger mascot, a small way to repay their kindness and hospitality. However, as the boys feel restless in their desire to return home, we pray for the students at Tennyson Center who go home to a long weekend fraught with fear and a desire to be at school.

The kids are becoming Tennyson Center veterans, their eagerness to assist and to deeply love the children and staff at the facility is evident. Joy takes the place of anxiety, and they seek to make a kid's day a bit better. 

We made our entrance to the Tennyson Center today; warm smiles and friendly faces greeted us at the door, preparing us to see the love of Christ in the face of children.

We have arrived at 1732 N Pearl St; a soft rain accompanies the cool fall weather in Downtown Denver as we reflect on seeing God in the city. We look forward to the week and prepare our hearts for the children at Tennyson.
