Lisha Burnett
Lisha Burnett leads external affairs for Suncor Energy’s U.S. assets and operations that include Colorado’s only petroleum refinery, pipelines, sales and marketing and crude oil trading. Her passion and corporate expertise in stakeholder and government relations, strategic communications and community investment spans nearly 30 years and several high-profile industries, including education and academia, health care, travel and tourism and energy. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Furman University and a master’s degree from the University of Colorado. Lisha began her career as a journalist, writer, and editor for a Colorado-based publishing company, including the opportunity to launch a mountain lifestyle magazine still in publication today. She is a graduate of the Colorado Outward Bound School instructor training program and earned her professional certification in corporate social responsibility from Boston College’s Center for Corporate Citizenship. The Denver Business Journal has named her a “Top 40 Women in Energy.” Lisha and her husband Keven are the proud parents of Regis Jesuit alums Peyton (’22) and Jake (’24), and their daughter Bridget, who is a CU Boulder alum (’16), now leading her own business based in San Francisco. Lisha has served on the Regis Jesuit advancement committee for four years and joined the Board of Trustees in 2025.
