FOOTBALL'S "MORE THAN A GAME" SEASON OPENER SUPPORTS NEIGHBORS IN NEED

Kicking off the 2021 season at their August 27 home opener, the Regis Jesuit Football program showed the community what it means to be with and for Others by joining forces with rival Valor Christian for “More Than a Game,” holding a combined food drive in support of Metro Caring.
Players collected more than 1933 pounds of dry and canned goods generously donated by both RJ and Valor fans who attended the game to help support those in Colorado with food insecurity. We are proud of the strong character and leadership of the RJ and Valor Christian football programs as they shared their love for Christ and what it means to put the needs of our vulnerable neighbors first. Their efforts demonstrate how athletics can be a conduit for mission and leadership, one of the four Bold Moves of our Strategic Plan 2025, and reminding us that not only wins and losses make a great athletic program. We are proud of our football players and fans who came together to support our neighbors in need!
