We are a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory high school serving nearly 1700 young men and women in grades 9-12 in becoming Men and Women with and for Others.
With nearly 150 years of history behind us, we are a Roman Catholic educational community rooted firmly in the nearly 500-year-old model of Jesuit education, leading the way in preparing students for the 21st century.
Our unique educational model combines the advantages of single-sex instruction with opportunities for young men and women to collaborate, serve, pray and socialize together to form the whole person—mind, body and spirit.
The strength of Regis Jesuit is found in the depth and diversity of its broad community of students, parents and alumni who strengthen and share their gifts through a lifelong Raider experience.
The transformational student experience has been developed thanks to a long tradition of generous philanthropic support of our enduring educational mission.
FRESHMAN WRAP UP VIA PROGRAMMING WITH CANNONBALL DAY
To cap off a meaningful year of VIA programming, the Class of 2029 gathered on May 13 for the beloved annual Cannonball Day—an event that blends tradition, reflection and celebration. This special day commemorates the beginning of St. Ignatius of Loyola’s transformative spiritual journey, which began after he was injured by a cannonball during the Battle of Pamplona on May 20, 1521. In honoring this pivotal moment of conversion, freshmen not only deepen their understanding of Ignatian spirituality but also celebrate the conclusion of their first year at Regis Jesuit. Read more
The day began with a dedicated Mass, where students reflected on St. Ignatius’ powerful story of faith and renewal. From there, the energy shifted to joyful celebration as students embraced their own “cannonball moments”—leaping into the pool with enthusiasm and launching water balloons at the school’s suit of armor, RJ Raider, in a spirited tribute to Ignatius’ legacy.
A highlight of the day came as faculty and staff joined in the festivities, showcasing the vibrant and close-knit community that defines Regis Jesuit. Mr. Travis Crowe, SJ marked the culmination of his service with a memorable, splash-filled final cannonball. Principal Jimmy Tricco, alongside Girls Division Head Adam Lomas and the RJ Raider, added to the excitement by stepping in as spirited targets during the “cannonball launch,” playfully challenging freshmen to test—and improve—their aim.
Congratulations to the Class of 2029 on an outstanding freshman year. Cannonball Day was a fitting and joyful way to celebrate their journey, the friendships they’ve built, and the brotherhood and sisterhood that make the Regis Jesuit experience so special.
