Day 12 - Fond Farewell and Return

Opportunity to Reflect on the Way Home
(Still again, posted late. Wi-Fi is elusive.)
Today was flight day, which meant all we did was get up at 5am and catch flights. We all mostly woke up on time and communicated just as we should to be able to get to we’re we needed to go and to catch our flight on time. We said our goodbyes to everyone before leaving to the airport and then we got some breakfast.
Time traveling gave us time to reflect. Thinking about how I am going to be back in Colorado in a few hours made me realize that I am going to miss Spain. It was such an amazing experience! All in all I learned so much. Now, people may ask what I got out of this. I grew in my faith way more than I expected; I learned how to love more, including myself. I also learned more about why I’m here and why St. Ignatius did what he did. This trip made me realize that we should be grateful for everything we have and how much we have. Learning about new people, cultures, and ways of living was such an amazing thing through this trip. My favorite part was seeing the Sagrada Familia Church; I have never seen any church more beautiful than this one. I know this is a once in a life time opportunity, and if you ever have the chance to do it, DO IT. You won’t be so sure at first probably, but trust me, it’s worth every single bit. After we took our first two hours flight we were all just exited to go home and be able to be with our families. I would say that this trip was one of the best decisions of my life.
