BRAYDEN SMITH'S '21 MARATHON SUPPORT FOR REFUGEES

Brayden Smith '21 and his mom, Tamara were signed up for the Denver Colfax Marathon, which would have been their first full marathon. When the marathon, scheduled for May, was cancelled due to COVID, Brayden took it upon himself to map out a course and run 26.2 miles. He also created a Go Fund Me page around the run in support of Project Worthmore, one of his favorite charities.
Project Worthmore works with the refugee community in Denver, and Brayden and Tamara's efforts ended up raising $1400 for their work. And some of his RJ classmates came out to run and bike the final few miles with him, showing amazing support. Way to be with and for others!
