Phyllis Hines


We are saddened to inform you that Phyllis Hines, mother of Barry '67, Greg '71, Brent '75 and Brian '75, passed away on January 13, 2021.

Phyllis Jeanne Hines, 97, died Jan. 13, 2021 in Lakewood, Colo. She was born Jan. 5, 1924, to Sanford “Ted” and Alice Lewis in Denver, Colo.  She married Glen Edward Hines on Sept. 6, 1946. Phyllis and Glen raised their five children in Arvada, Colo.  Phyllis worked part-time for Glen’s CPA firm, Hines, Condon and Associates, and Shrine of St. Anne’s Catholic Parish.  She volunteered in numerous capacities at St. Anne’s and also notably for more than 40 years as a ‘Pink Lady’ at Lutheran Medical Center. She and Glen were prominent in the community and well known in their later years for their involvement in the Glen Hines Tennis Tournament and the 10th Mountain Division Foundation.  She and Glen shared a long and happy marriage for 62 years. They camped, skied, hiked and built their dream cabin in the Colorado mountains. After Glen’s retirement, they spent many happy years traveling the country and spending winters in Arizona. Phyllis dearly loved her family and will be sorely missed by them." Click here to view the full obituary

A Funeral Mass is taking place on Tuesday, January 26 at the Archdiocese of Denver Mortuary at Mt. Olivet. If you are unable to attend in person, you can join via livestream here
