We are a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory high school serving more than 1700 young men and women in grades 9-12 in becoming Men and Women with and for Others.
With nearly 150 years of history behind us, we are a Roman Catholic educational community rooted firmly in the nearly 500-year-old model of Jesuit education, leading the way in preparing students for the 21st century.
Our unique educational model combines the advantages of single-sex instruction with opportunities for young men and women to collaborate, serve, pray and socialize together to form the whole person—mind, body and spirit.
The strength of Regis Jesuit is found in the depth and diversity of its broad community of students, parents and alumni who strengthen and share their gifts through a lifelong Raider experience.
The transformational student experience has been developed thanks to a long tradition of generous philanthropic support of our enduring educational mission.
From the very moment I heard about World Youth Day, I was inclined to learn more about what it meant. It was first brought up to me one day at lunch by one of the Jesuit Priests at the school. He told me a little bit about his experience with the event, and I became intrigued by the event. As I started doing more research, I learned more about what each day would be like and all of the events, artwork, and experiences that the mission would offer.
However, the most captivating moment for me is the sleeping under the stars event. This night allows thousands of people to lay under the stars together, creating a strong awareness of the Lord around us and providing strengthening ties to the community present. This event is what captured my interest the most. I can’t wait to experience it firsthand.
Much like Kairos, I am hoping to come back from this pilgrimage knowing more about God and meeting new people who share the same passion I have for the Catholic faith. I have had several life-changing experiences that have strengthened my faith and have made me who I am today. But, I am still not perfect and don’t set that as a goal for myself. I know that there will be challenges every day and that not everything I do will be done the right way. Yet, I still hope that this mission will help me become a better man of God.
Upon my return to Regis, I hope that I can bring back a version of myself that’s a better role model for others. If I am successful in learning more about the faith and having a life-changing experience, I want to share that with my brothers and sisters in the RJ community. I don’t mean just telling the stories of my travels but also hoping that my experience with the faith can be used as a resource to inspire others. Regis is an amazing place, and I can’t wait to have the experience, and then share it with all that are willing to listen.

I am excited for the ability to travel to a spot, in which so many people from different backgrounds will be joining together. It's a really great opportunity to be able to be able to travel on this trip, as well as to be able to be a part of such a large group of youth. I'm hoping to be able to really appreciate this experience, to branch out and have a good experience with our group. As well as to grow in my faith, and strengthening my ability to follow my faith and grow in myself. I hope to bring back a better way at looking at my life, to be able to fully take in all of the amazing and beautiful opportunities that have been given to me.
