RJ CLOTHING SWAP ANOTHER HUGE SUCCESS

Over three days in early September, members of the RJ community enjoyed swapping some of their unwanted clothing for some new and gently-used items at the free clothing swap which took place in the Steele Center. Organized by English teacher, Ms. Sarah Sherwood, the RJ Swap aims to bring awareness to the excessive textile waste - approximately 92 million tons - that reaches landfills yearly and the ways we can help alleviate this waste and burden on the environment. Great job, Raiders, on coming together to help reduce, reuse and recycle our goods in response to the Jesuit Universal Apostolic Preferences' call to Care for Our Common Home while boosting your wardrobe!
Be sure to save your unwanted and excess clothing items for the next RJ Swap taking place in the spring semester. In the meantime, consider swapping clothes with your friends and neighbors. Let's do our part to care for our common home and reduce our buying to help save the planet!
