Ralph Tanner '65

Ralph Tanner '65, father of Greg '88, passed away on April 25, 2025. 

"He was a graduate of Regis Jesuit High School and Regis College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He met his wife, Judith Holford, in Denver, Colorado and they were married on July 13, 1968. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War on the aircraft carrier Oriskany between September 1967 and August 1971. After he came home from Vietnam, he worked in the federal government and retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 2005. Ralph Tanner enjoyed coaching youth football in Northglenn and was a devout Catholic. He attended Saturday afternoon Masses, without fail, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church before his illnesses did not allow him to attend." Click here to view the full obituary.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 22 between 4:00-6:00 pm at Horan & McConaty, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229. The service will follow the next morning at 10:30 am on Friday, May 23 at the same location, followed by the burial at 1:00 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 West Kenyon Avenue, Denver, CO 80236.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA.

We join the prayers of the community of Regis Jesuit with yours for the repose of Ralph's soul and the consolation of his family and all those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
