We are a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory high school serving nearly 1700 young men and women in grades 9-12 in becoming Men and Women with and for Others.
With nearly 150 years of history behind us, we are a Roman Catholic educational community rooted firmly in the nearly 500-year-old model of Jesuit education, leading the way in preparing students for the 21st century.
Our unique educational model combines the advantages of single-sex instruction with opportunities for young men and women to collaborate, serve, pray and socialize together to form the whole person—mind, body and spirit.
The strength of Regis Jesuit is found in the depth and diversity of its broad community of students, parents and alumni who strengthen and share their gifts through a lifelong Raider experience.
The transformational student experience has been developed thanks to a long tradition of generous philanthropic support of our enduring educational mission.
Today we were welcomed by the community, Comayagua, near the dumpsite. When we arrived, we were greeted with dances, posters and overall kindness. Throughout the day, some intense games of soccer took place as well as dance battles. We gathered for a delicious lunch consisting of either pork or beef with rice and tortillas. Although it was clear at this time that the language barrier could be challenging, we communicated with advanced skills learned throughout our time at Regis and with physical expression. After lunch, we made our way through the community streets and delivered food/supplies needed by many, but to only four of the families with unique circumstances. As we were blessed with the opportunity to walk through these people’s houses, we were taken back by the differences of their lifestyles compared to ours at home. Unfortunately, we were heartbroken to have to leave our new friends, but we returned to the hotel with high hopes of what will come tomorrow.
