We are a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory high school serving nearly 1700 young men and women in grades 9-12 in becoming Men and Women with and for Others.
With nearly 150 years of history behind us, we are a Roman Catholic educational community rooted firmly in the nearly 500-year-old model of Jesuit education, leading the way in preparing students for the 21st century.
Our unique educational model combines the advantages of single-sex instruction with opportunities for young men and women to collaborate, serve, pray and socialize together to form the whole person—mind, body and spirit.
The strength of Regis Jesuit is found in the depth and diversity of its broad community of students, parents and alumni who strengthen and share their gifts through a lifelong Raider experience.
The transformational student experience has been developed thanks to a long tradition of generous philanthropic support of our enduring educational mission.
It’s our last full day in Honduras--it’s strange to say that we are already here, at the end of our trip! It seems just yesterday that we were greeting unfamiliar faces in Comayagua airport picking us up, and yet tomorrow we will be back at the airport, having to say goodbye to the faces we have now become so familiar to. Since it was our last day, we are happy to say that we made the absolute most of it. Not only did we get to see the progress made on the projects we started, like the latrine, but we also got to see the progress we made on our relationships with the scholars (becados) and members of the community. We began with intense volleyball games and playing on the playground, and later in the day, after moving some sand to the worksite, we said our final goodbyes to the kids by making friendship bracelets that will remind us of each other’s fraternal love for a lifetime. It was hard to say goodbye, but something in our hearts tells us that this won’t be the last time we interact with this community. Overtime, it became clear that language is never a barrier and our ability to serve, grow, and love allows us to see the true nature of this community, all as children of God. So, we know we are not really saying goodbye, instead we are simply saying ¡nos vemos!
