FUTURE RAIDERS PREP SUMMER FUN BASKETS FOR TENNYSON CENTER

Just before the 4th of July holiday, Future Raider students and current students teamed up to prepare "Summer Fun" baskets for the Tennyson Center. for Children, one of our long-time service partners

Prospective students met with RJ group leaders on 12 virtual calls to plan for their baskets around a specific theme. Along with the Regis Jesuit group leaders, the prospective students organized the items each family would contribute. Some students made 4th of July jewelry and accessories that RJ sent to their homes, while others chose to donate a specific item or to make a contribution. With social distancing guidelines in place, the current students traveled around town and collected all of the items from the porches of the prospective families, who were amazingly generous. Instead of collecting contents for an anticipated 10 baskets, enough was donated to create 30!

The Admissions team and current RJ students met at the Tennyson Center on Monday, June 29 to complete and distribute the baskets, having the opportunity to deliver the baskets to the cottages of the children in residence there.

What a wonderful and collaborative effort by our community in support of the ongoing work of the Tennyson Center!
