ROBOTICS TEAM INSPIRES YOUNG SCIENTIST AT FIRST LEGO LEAGUE EXPLORE FESTIVAL

On Saturday, April 23, members of the Regis Jesuit Robotics Team volunteered their time at Bishop Elementary School in Englewood for the Colorado FIRST LEGO League Explore Festival; a day of hands-on programming designed to inspire, excite and introduce children ages 6 to 10 to the wonders of science, technology and engineering. Club members presented to League Explore Kids and coaches about their participation in the FIRST Robotics Competition program and proudly demonstrated the team's robot. The audience was thrilled to see such creativity and ingenuity and were wowed by the robot's impressive skills in shooting baskets. The Explorers were especially excited at taking turns operating the robot! We are proud of our students for sharing their joy and passion for robotics and providing inspiration to a future generation of researchers, scientists and engineers.
