RJ BASEBALL PARTICIPATES IN NEIGHBORHOOD CLEANUP WITH EXTREME COMMUNITY MAKEOVER

June 22 dawned beautiful and sunny as Head Coach Matt Darr and more than 40 players and seven adult chaperones from the Regis Jesuit Baseball program participated in a community day of service in cooperation with Extreme Community Makeover (ECM), an organization that partners volunteers with residents in various neighborhoods in need of assistance with home and neighborhood improvement projects.
The group spent the day helping to clean up and beautify ten blocks of alleyways in the West Colfax neighborhood in Denver. With brooms, rakes, shovels, paint and other needed supplies in hand, the delegation cleaned up trash, pulled weeds and painted over graffitied walls. The boys had the opportunity to interact with community residents throughout the day and eat lunch together as a team. What a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with our neighbors in need in an effort to build stronger friendships and communities.

We are proud of you for caring for our common home and being with and for Others, Raiders!
