GIRLS RUGBY COMPETES AT CIRA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Rugby Team on another great season culminating in a solid fifth-place finish at the CIRA State Championships, hosted in Lou Kellogg Stadium on Saturday, November 4.
The team lost their first game 32-0 against 15 consecutive-time Colorado State Champion Summit Green, then dropped their second pool game to Monarch 22-7. In a strong comeback, the Raiders defeated Eagle Valley 27-5 in the final matchup to claim fifth place in State. The JV Team, which consisted of only seven players, also fought brilliantly, losing 22-17 in a close matchup to the eventual JV State Champion Summit High School. Varsity finished the 2023 season with a strong 8-13 overall record and looks to come back even stronger next season.

Great performance, Raiders!
